When I started looking at dogs bark collars, I realized how many tools there were to coach your dog.  There were invisible fence collars that would essentially train your puppy to not go outside of a certain area without you along with it.  Fundamentally, every time the dog would go outside a certain prearranged fence, The dog bark collars would go off, giving it some kind of unpleasant stimuli.  Either the collar would shock it, squirt it with citronella, or subject it to an extremely high-pitched and irritating noise.  Either way, the average dog would learn what the limits were. 

I decided to stick with the basic dog bark collars.  I hadn’t actually needed to teach my dog not to bark, but I certainly failed to want to subject it to even more unnecessary lessons.  No bark collars were the minimum that I could get away with, so I made up my mind to go for those.

A further method of controlling dog barking is by the use of DAP (Dog Appeasing Pheromones) which is used as an impregnated collar, a spray or as a plug-in diffuser. DAP is  not a drug and as such it’s a safer alternative to the use of calming drugs. DAP products are available online from the DAP-Direct website.

When two canines in the same household have a dispute, owners are often quick to break them apart. The motivation to do so is instinctive. After all, fighting suggests injury and no owner wants to see their dogs hurt. The other side of the coin is strictly compulsion based training.  The theory behind this type of dog training is you give the dog a command, then give him a moment to comply, and if he does not then he is heavily corrected via choke chain, pinch collar, throw chain, or shock collar.  Dogs have been trained this way for years and the truth of the matter is you can teach a dog to sit, down, come and so on with this method, but the PROBLEM IS, YOU WILL CRUSH THE DOGS’ SPIRIT in the process.  Now that we have a base and comparison of different types of training lets talk about E-COLLARS vs SHOCK COLLARS.

The purpose of E-COLLAR training is so the dog can learn in the fastest period of time without compromising the dogs attitude.You should not be waiting for the dog to make a mistake, instead watch for a shift in weight so the dog can have success each time you train.
